  1. Love this song, love the way it sounds from this singer., One quick
question, I read yesterday people had posted on a forum about this being a
rubbish performance, as far as I can tell she does it justice, can anyone
else comment as I’d like to know if there are any actual problems with this
performance or if I was just reading the comments of people who have no
musical knowledge at all? Love it and I know I couldn’t do any better.

  2. I don’t claim to be any music expert but I do know good music when I hear
it. This is a wonderful rendition of Abide with Me and you won’t find many
better, I love the change from low to high towards the end, stunning
finish! Laura is one of the countries most talented young sopranos and she
definitely gives ‘Abide with Me’ the justice it deserves.

  3. I came here to see the ‘funny’ look Robbie made;only found a guy who
glanced at the camera& looked down People seem compelled to read more into
whatever he does. His warm smile(?stupid faces?) tells me he appreciated
her beAUtiful performance. YOUR blatant insults tells me you’re unaware
that Robbie Williams CREATED &has worked hard on these charity games since
2006;(w/Jonathan;++player!) raising millions of pounds& deserves respect
too! Who got her to sing? She was newer then;Rob maybe??

  4. She’s just pure class as well as a stunning looking woman. Only faults i
could find were the arseholes in the crowd blowing their horns during it,
Roy Keane blatantly making some lewd comment about her,
Jonathan”nobody”Wilkes and Robbie”look at me” williams, pullling stupid
faces, Kielty & Ferrell talking. Michael Sheen looked so proud to be
captain of row and the song. Des Walker and David Seaman still had their
chests puffed out like they were playing in a world cup match, bless
    them.:-)

  5. Disgraceful – do none of these so-called celebrities know the history of
the song – and, if you don’t know the words, at least show some respect….!

  6. The most beautiful performance of this hymn I have heard as a vocal
    arrangement
