COUTINHO REVEALS NO REGRETS IN BARCELONA MOVE

Former Liverpool attacker, Philip Coutinho has declared he has no regret over switching Anfield for Camp Nou in 2018. The Brazilian was sold to Barcelona in a big-money move in 2018 and the club has grown in strides since the departure of the playmaker.


The Brazilian attacker was expected to be the direct replacement for fellow countryman, Neymar.

GREENWOOD OPENS HIS FIRST ACCOUNT FOR MAN UTD

In the heat of Sunday afternoon’s abysmal first half display against Sheffield United, Man Utd academy products were relied upon to drag a point away from home and ensured that the Red Devils’ aren’t further embarrassed than they’ve already been since the season began.


Andreas Peirerra was substituted as Greenwood, 18 came up to equalize the score line 2-2 and on the 79rd minute of the hour clock, United’s marks man Marcus Rashford volleyed in a clinical finish which set the Red Devils for another win, but unbent by the turn of events, Sheffield mustered some bit of courage to equalize 3-3 at the brink of the game.

Eddie Howe says Callum Wilson to United speculation is pointless

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said that the recent speculation linking Callum Wilson with a move to Manchester United is completely pointless. The England international has been in impressive form of late with four goals from the previous five matches and that has recently earned him another call-up with the Three Lions.

Amidst this, there has been speculation that United could swoop for his signature but Howe has said that he would prefer to ignore the gossip with the transfer window unlikely to open until January, he told: “You consider my thoughts going into this game is all about Arsenal. Solskjaer hails Wan-Bissaka’s talent following Manchester United transfer

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed the qualities of Aaron Wan-Bissaka shortly after the defender made the switch from Crystal Palace. The 21-year-old had been highlighted as the Red Devils’ prime target to strengthen the right side of the backline and they have eventually landed his signature after agreeing on a £50m package with the Eagles.

Shortly after the transfer was announced, Ole said that Wan-Bissaka is one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League and he has the right mentality to fit into the United scheme of things, he told: “Aaron is one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League. He has the right work ethic, talent, and mentality to play for Manchester United.

Maurizio Sarri insists Chelsea’s season has been a success to date

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has said that the Blues have enjoyed a successful campaign under his management. The Blues are currently placed fourth in the league table with the chance of progressing to next season’s Champions League, but Sarri insists that the campaign can’t be deemed a failure, should they fail to qualify for the elite competition.

Speaking in a press conference, Sarri said that the season has been fairly successful with the team having impressed in the League Cup final where they only lost to Manchester City on penalties. He acknowledged that the club are still in the running for the top four in the Premier League as well as the Europa League title and he would like to achieve both objectives at the end of the season.

Newcastle United should keep Benitez

Newcastle United defender Matt Ritchie believes that the club should keep Rafael Benitez as the manager if they want to progress. He said that the Spanish manager is the reason why the club is doing so well in the Premier League this season and that it will be difficult to replace him as the manager.

Matt Ritchie admitted that Newcastle United made a slow start to the campaign but they have managed to recover as the season has gone by and that they are now in a good position in the league.

ARSENAL TARGET IVAN PERISIC HANDS IN TRANSFER REQUEST

Ivan Perisic has handed in a transfer request to the authorities at Inter Milan, after they rejecteda loan offer for him, from Arsenal football club. Inter director Giuseppe Marotta confirmed that the player has indeed handed in a transfer request, and that they would look into it only if they receive a concrete offer,  as they place  high value on the Croatian winger. Reports emanating from the Italian mediahas it that Arsenal proposed  a loan deal for Perisic, with an option to buy for £34 million, but Inter Milan are holding out for a permanent move for the player, who by next month will be 30 years old.

Reports also has it that Perisic has not been training with the rest of the team, having agreed personal terms with arsenal, which will see him earn £2 million this season, and £5 million a year until 2022. Arsenal are hoping to reach an agreement with the Nerazzuri before the end of the winter transfer window, which is in three days time. Inter Milan are aiming to sell Perisicon a permanent deal only, and have identified Belgian fowardYanickFerreira Carrasco,  who plays for Chinese super league side Dalian Yifang, as a possible replacement for their “wantaway” star.
