Jose Mourinho Revealed Antonio Valencia Could Miss The 2018-19 Season Start

Antonio Valencia the captain of Manchester United could miss the season start because of injury he sustained during the tour of Red Devils of the United States. The information has been revealed by manager Jose Mourinho. During the 0-0 draw of United with San Jose Earthquakes Valencia, the right-back limped off early, and after a penalty-shootout victory of the team over AC Milan Wednesday Mourinho said that Valencia may miss the beginning of the Premier League season (PLS)

He said “Valencia is injured and he is recovering, but I think he remained injured till the start of the Premier League season. Another player, Diogo Dalot is in the recovering phase as well, and I believe that even he will not be ready to play till the start of the Premier League.” The campaign of 2018-19 Premier League of United will kick off at 10th of August with a home clash opposite the Leicester City.

Valencia is now 32 years and he is in a good form. From the Mourinho side, he is a vital player. During the last term, He started 31 Premier League games for United and did really well. So far he is one of the most consistent performers of the club. Mourinho the back-up of Valencia to call on, but the new players is not the substitute of Valencia.

The possible replacement is Matteo Darmian, but Mourinho revealed the player wants out of Old Trafford: “Matteo has plans to leave in mind, and I believe that when a player wants to leave, when the right offer comes, you need to try to be human and allow the player to follow his instinct. However, at any price, and till now, the offers we received from Matteo are not close to being think and accepted.”
